We had another system that didn’t work. The architects did not respond positively to it, so it was never used. It was just a central finance system, and we needed something else that could offer more.
Project management, time registration – and a much more accessible system. So we went out and looked at the market. We set up a project group with 12 project managers, a couple of partners and myself and then we were presented with the systems.
None of us were in any doubt that the system we needed was EazyProject.
I like the fact that EazyProject is a small company that has treated us as an important customer.
The challenges with the old system were that none of the project managers or architects could work out how to use it.
They could register their hours, but that was it. We needed to change this so that they felt they had more ownership of projects and case management. This was the challenge we faced.
Why did you choose EazyProject?
It was actually the flexibility in terms of staffing and assigning employees in Planning Pro. It is really smart. But it is actually not what we primarily use in the system today.
What value has EazyProject added to your business?
Well I haven’t yet managed to push it out to the project managers so they can sit and invoice their projects themselves and really use it to manage things, so it is still something of a time registration system.
But everyone is still buying into it, and everyone thinks that it seems easy and accessible and it is getting used for small things. For me however, it is very simple to access.
Its greatest strength is that it is accessible for all the architects so it’s easy to make an invoice, add hours and other things, fix what needs to be on it and get it sent out. It’s easy to search for cases and it looks attractive, which is quite important for an architecture firm.
How satisfied are you with our approach to helping implement EazyProject?
Well I have been satisfied with EazyProject; I like the fact that it is a small company that has treated us as an important customer. We’ve been taken care of, which I have been satisfied about.

They have responded very positively.

The support staff are always available and enormously accommodating and just good.
